もしアメリカで1週間に18時間以上学習されるのであれば、I-20が送られてきます。これはアメリカ大使館にF-1学生ビザ申請書類と一緒に提出しなければなりません。このI-20にはSEVIS追跡番号がついています。学生ビザを申請したい学生はアメリカ大使館か領事館に（学生ビザ取得のための）面接に行く前に、SEVIS費用をオンラインで支払いを終えなければなりません。

あなたのご自宅に無料の普通郵便でI-20が送られてきます。もしエクスプレスメールで書類を送ってほしいご場合は、登録時に$100課金されることになります。

アメリカでは法によってフルタイムで語学留学する学生にのみI-20を発行していることを覚えておいてください。アメリカではF-1学生ビザをもっている学生がパートタイムで学習することを許可していません。もし1週間に18時間以下学習される予定でしたら、訪問ビザ(B1/B2)をご自分で申請しなければなりません。
