Staying in a homestay accommodation is a great way to practice and improve your English as well as make new friends and meet new people. You will be treated as a member of the household, eating together and sharing common living areas.

With around 200 homestay hosts, this is the most popular option for many of our students.
Students will normally travel to and from their homestay accommodation using public transport (local buses), unless the house is within walking distance. The majority of host families are within 30 minutes travel of the school. Please note that bus passes are not included within your course unless it is part of a package (e.g. Junior Summer School).

The following will be provided for all students:
- A clean tidy room with a desk or table (or a room providing same), adequate storage for clothes and a comfortable bed with a change of bed linen ever 2 weeks.
- The host takes care of the student's light laundry once per week, or the student should have reasonable access to the washing machine.
- Facility to have a shower every day with adequate hot water and towels available.
- Sufficient light and heat.

Our hostel accommodation is provided by Bath YMCA. Situated in the centre of the city, it is directly opposite
our school and just a few minutes' walk from our Summer School venue. Both single and shared rooms are
available, with a range of meal options. Hostel accommodation is available to individuals aged 18 and over,
and to junior groups accompanied by a group leader.

available as a part of the course, while courses can be taken without accommodation.
