コース内容

This program starts weekly from June-August for ages 8-18.

Program fee includes:
Morning Practical English classes Monday-Friday. 9:00am-12:00 pm
Afternoon Activities Monday-Friday 12:45-3:00 pm accompanied by IGK staff
All activity admissions and transportation and guardianship
Homestays include a single room, shared bath and 3 meals per day
Airport pickup and drop off at Kelowna International Airport
All application and material fees

Does not include: Medical Insurance, Public bus to and from the school and the Homestay ($2.25 per ride), Airline underage minor fee which is mandatory for ages 8-12 travelling without an adult.

Rotating 4 week afternoon activity schedule. If students are applying for 5-8 weeks most of the afternoon activities will repeat.

*All students are required to pay a bank transfer fee of $25 in addition to the listed fees.
**If less than 6 students are registered in the program at any given time the students will be integrated into the regular adult morning ESL classes.
***Deduct $500 per week if homestay, guardianship and airport transfers are NOT required.

The classes were in small groups in the winter season, I liked that. Just the half of the teachers are good, the other half they don’t know what are they doing. The location it’s really great, accesible and near to everything in downtown. They had few activities but each one were great. It’s a small school, so-so for ESL not for academic English.

Dear,
I would like to talk why my experience on International Gateway Kelowna wasn´t how I was waiting. I wanted to acquire more fluency, but I came back to Brazil disappointed. I don´t needed to have basics notions, as alphabet and vocabulary how animals names, etc. I would need to talk elementary phrases to quotidian. I liked to study with teens 16 years old, but I noted they levels was different, because the majority is from orient countries where the alphabet is very different. Well, I liked Gary and Carhie teachers and the staff too. All very, very professionals. I could needed to have more conversation, reading books, writing letters or texts. The method applied leave-me confused... I am a lawyer and I would need more challenge. Beyond reading books and writing texts, phrases by conversation in airport, in supermarket, in pharmacy, in stores, in street, etc. I´m sorry, and thank you.
